Congratulations to Bohol Coconut Palms Resort on its opening today, Easter Sunday. This is another milestone in Bohol’s tourism industry that the Jubac-Blasquez family “braved” the storm to answer the sign of times that Bohol, as a tourist destination needs more accommodation to answer the influx of tourists who are visiting our province.

The young and dashing Glenn Mark Blasques who is the resort “boss” is supported by his parents: Engr. Jorge Salijon Blasquez and Norma Jubac Blasquez, a registered nurse. His siblings Rachelle Anne, Georgia Dianne and Norman Jayre are also there to support their “kuya.”

Glenn who humbled himself as “new” in the tourism business has sterling scholastic records as he holds degree in Business Management at Centro Escolar University and MBA-Juris at De La Salle University. He learned a thing or two both personal and technical which of course could be of great help managing a business.

People who don’t see much of Bohol might think that Bohol’s beaches are found only in Panglao. They are wrong. There are other parts in Bohol which are “excellent” for tourism development. One such place is in Baclayon (which is near Tagbilaran) and Glenn and his family have “noticed” the importance of the place and to start a family business right there in their place. The establishment of the resort also provides job opportunities to Boholanos as Glenn puts it, charity begins at home.

True‘s visit yesterday to the resort was a first hand experience to see a new development in the countryside. I could see Glenn and his family (with the staff) united for today’s opening. Expected luminaries and Bohol’s bigwigs are expected to grace this afternoon’s affair. Confirmed to attend are philanthropist couple Hans Schoof and wife Lani, the Ongs, Uys, Rep. Edgar Chatto and other “VIPs.”

It is easy to locate Bohol Coconut Palms Resort. Visitors can take a jeep from proper Tagbilaran for only P 7. Or you can avail any rent a car services (the price is subject for negotiation) to go to the resort.

Not many Bohol resorts offer classy and elegant accommodations at amazingly affordable rates. Just with the Bohol Palms Resort trademark, however, guests on a trip to Baclayon, Bohol can be confident of a pleasurable resort stay in BCPR.

Enjoy the resort’s facilities, feel the genuine Filipino hospitality, and experience the superb service that will make your Bohol visit feel like you stayed right at home.

BCPR is not just an alternative residence against a list of other Panglao resorts; the affordable rates do not necessarily translate to limited amenities and services. After a busy day at work or touring Bohol’s sights and sounds, guests can relax at their restaurant or simply tuck themselves in their rooms and avail of high-quality room service.

Groups are also welcome! Guests who wish to conduct conferences, seminars, and parties here need not look for other resorts. The resort remains competitive among resorts in Bohol with their function rooms (soon to finish) that can cater to any event.

Those who wish to visit Bohol Coconut Palms Resort to use the mini-olympic swimming pool can pay an entrance of P80-100.00.
