Fried Prawns

Ingredients
225 grams | | Shelled Prawn with tail intact |

1 small | | Egg |
|
1/2 teaspoon | | Salt |
|
3 tablespoons | | Flour |
|
2 tablespoons | | Water |
|
600 ml | | Oil |
|
For Dip: | | |
|
Salt | | |
|
Freshly ground black pepper or crushed sesame | | |

Preparation
- To make the batter, first beat the egg then fold in the salt, flour and water. Beat for 1 minute to incorporate some air.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer until really hot, dip each prawn in the batter then deep fry individually for 2 minutes or until golden. Remove and drain on kitchen paper. Serve with salt and pepper or crushed sesame seeds as dip.
