Punta Cruz

The receded coastline of Bohol near Punta Cruz, Maribojoc. The October 15, 2013 earthquake lifted this part of Bohol over a meter, and as a result, this area in front of the old coastline has become permanently dry land. At first, the local population were terrified, as they expected a large tsunami, but after a day, it became clear the landscape here had dramatically changed forever.
