There are some pension houses in Tubigon if you would like to stay in Tubigon.
The early settlers called the place 'Tubigan' meaning having water or watery because the community was always submerged in water when rivers overflows its banks during rainy seasons. Later, this was changed to 'Tubigon' meaning a place abounding in water, because under the fertile soil there is plenty of water aside from the many springs and streams of the town. At present these sources of water are converted into a giant irrigation dam to regulate the flow of supply of water to the rice fields.
The town was established in 1819.

I was born in Tanawan Tubigon Bohol. My wife Lorna P. Bongcales was born in Libertad Tubigon Bohol. We decided to purchase a house & lot in Tagbilaran City. We build also our half native house in Cawayanan Tubigon Bohol. I never forget my life during my elementary days walking morning and afternoon from Tanawan to Libertad and going home to Tanawan of about 8km each day. When I was in high school at Holy Cross Academy Tubigon Bohol. Just by walking also 14km to and from school. Tubigon is the beautiful place to live. We keep on coming back with our children. "Share our Blessings" This is our advocacy. We will share our blessings to our neighbors every december. We would like to extend our gifts to nearby barangays depending in our budget. We have made blogs to support our advocacy. Every visitor in our blogs contribute a great help. Only one blog we will introduce " shipsimages.blogspot.com " the other blogs we let other people discover it. We extend our thanks to the person who will visit our simple blog. I have been in so many places but Tubigon is the best. Thanks to Mayor Marlon Amila our Ninong in our wedding in Matabao Beach Resort on March 08, 2008 |
