These dive sites may not be something to be proud of in the next few years because nothing has been done to protect the marine resources in the Anda Peninsula. It is very disappointing to note that there are no environmentalists among the town officials! Local officials are even hesitant to establish a marine sanctuary for fear that they will lose votes. You see fishermen lay down mosquito nets/double nets which are more than 150 meters long. To do this, they do a lot of noise to scare the fish and make them go to their nets. You always see this in the cliff parts of the peninsula especially in between Blue Star and Coco White Beach. Diving boat operators do not know how to properly anchor their boats. Instead of using designated diving buoys or markers, they just throw the anchor on corals. When is the government going to MOVE? When it is too late????????

It is sad to read that Myk intentionally skipped Bituon Beach resort which is almost more than 15 years in existence. This is to be found in Basdio, Guindulman (take note of the correct spelling of the town Guindulman). This resort is well-established and well visited by German professional divers.

It is hard to say intentional, but I will ask. I've visited Bituon Beach resort, when it was still one of the very few resorts in the area, and it is nice, and caters almost exclusively to pre-arranged tours.--Jeroen.
