The Red Cheeked Anthias (Pseudanthias huchtii, Bleeker, 1857), lives in lagunas and on coral reefs, from 30 cm to 20 m deep. The male are greenish, with a clearly marked red stripe on the cheek. Females are less brightly colored, and have a yellow strip on the cheek.
