Hi! Just want to let you know that we enjoyed shooting "Close To You" in Bohol. The people there were truly friendly, and the sights were simply marvelous. =)

I can't understand why Rebbeca Lusterio despite being one of the most beautiful, young and talended actress was never given a break after her movie "Panaghoy sa Suba" When she won the "Best Supporting Actress Award", I heard that she was not even in Manila to receive the trophy. Why? Because we are Boholano or because we are born poor? I don't know if she is tied up with Cesar Montano's production but with all the resources of Montano, he should have given her a chance to prove that she deserved the award. To all our leaders not only in Bohol but in whole Visayas and to the producers in Manila, please help this young lady achieve her dreams. I know it's worth helping her and this was already proven so many times. Thank you.

Every time my wife, Fidela and I spent our vacation in Bohol, we were so desperate looking for a copy of the movie "Panaghoy sa Suba" but we failed. It should be a beautiful movie, considering that this was shot in Bohol plus the fact that my wife is related to Rebbeca Lusterio. And her parents too is a distant relative of my grandfather. I would like to show my children how beautiful our place is. They migrated here in the U.S. when they were still young. Now, my eldest is 31 and four of them got married already. Yeh, the eldest is working with Home Depot and married to a native Atlantan, Stephanie with 2 children. Marco, my second child, working at Costco, and married to a Vietnamese, Myahn. Inday, a pharmacist married to a Pakistani, Asif, and Borgie, just graduated at Georgia Tech, a Mech Engr is married to a Russian, Olga. Three of them has a child each. Emem with the U.S. Navy, Ana taking up Nursing at UGA and the rest, Leandro, Robert and Lourdes still in school. I wish I could get a copy too of the movie, Lagablab sa Maribojoc, which was filmed at S.I.P. in Cortes. I remember, I was still a 13 year old shoe shine (limpia bota) stationed at Marine Barber Shop watching Cesar Ramirez, Charito Solis, Maggie de la Riva, Oscar Roncal, Oscar Kesse, etc strolling the city. When Esteban was filmed in Bohol, I was already in Manila but I enjoyed watching both movies including "Puri" which was partly shot in Hinagdanan Cave. I'm planning of going back to Bohol early September and hope I can get copies of said movies. Again, I want to let my children watch the beauty of Bohol.

Where can I buy Panaghoy sa Suba dvd? Thanks.

I bought my copy last month in Odyssey in Baguio City, after failing to find copies in Tagbilaran. You may have to try your luck at a number of shops, or try ordering it online.--Jeroen.
