Hello, I am a travel agent with www.bahalanatravel.com and I will be organizing a trip for about 20-25 people to Bohol. The dates are tentatively 12/8/08-12/15/08 Can anyone recommend a great package deal? We will be touring the Philippines with some big clients annually and are looking for a great accomodations that will highlight the history of the Philippines but still be comfortable and modern for our American clients. Visitors are nothing to be scared with the prices. What matters most is the satisfaction. When they are not satisfied, the price is too much... if they are, then, the price is enough...

"Local Government to control the prices?" of resorts. What are you thinking? I don't think the Philippines is communist country last I checked. Have you ever heard of free enterprise? If you don't like the prices or the company, don't use them. Eventually, the prices will come down or other, hopefully smarter entrepreneurs, will step up to the challenge, see the opportunity and provide tourists with alternatives. There are already plenty of other resorts in Bohol who could use the business (who charge MUCH LESS) if you bother to look.

I agree, as long as there is no cartel or monopoly abuse, there is no need for the government to jump in with price controls.--Jeroen.

I was in Bohol with my group last December 1 and 2 and I was captivated by its beauty and history. Our tour guide, Rey, was so good and obviously well-informed, there was not one question from our group he was not able to answer. I am going back in January 2008, this time with my top sellers and I want to be able to decide which hotel and what places to bring them to. The listings would have really helped but there is none pa. Hope you can put it back pretty soon. Thanks and God bless you!

I'm from Bohol, just surfing the site, and just saw this rate of the resort, in is that "Eskaya Resort", I mean I can't believe the price of this resort, way to expensive, instead of inviting tourist to Bohol, we are scaring them, even the topnotch resort in the US are more or less the same price as this (with a plus, like free round of golf, free breakfast, and gratuity included), our local government should regulate this prices or else, its hard for us to invite tourist, You know in here (U.S), after sept. 11 (bombing of world trade center), a lot of people losing there job already, selling their houses, filing for bankruptcy,.I guess were relying more for Filipinos compared to the tourist, with regards to the our tourism these days (mga siguro tag economy diha, kay makabayad man ta sa rate sa mga resort diha.), so my plea is the LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO CONTROL THE PRICES OF THIS RESORT TO INVITE TOURIST. THANKS

I was surprised by the prices of Eskaya myself. However, as long as there is plenty of competition, I am not concerned at all. If they want to carve out a certain niche in the market, or restrict their clientèle to the rich or those who can get refunds from large corporations or governments, it is fine. If you don't want to pay their price, go elsewhere, there is plenty of choice, even for a smaller budget.--Jeroen.

I have been to Bohol. This January 2008, my three sisters, who have not been to Bohol, and I are planning to visit Bohol. Can You provide us with suggestions on where to go and where to stay? Since we are planning to go to cebu also, we would like the hotels to be not that pricey. Thank you.

We would like to visit Bohol in late January of 2008. I would like to see your listing of tour packages (round trip airfare from Manila, transfers, accomodations and full meals). Also, could you please include the day tours. My husband and I have never been to Bohol. I would like to stay in a decent resort and see the city to enjoy our vacation.
